Wild boar steals laptop, gets chased by a naked German man

Personal Life Coach Adele Landauer was enjoying a relaxing afternoon by a lake near Berlin, when a group of wild boars approached the beach. I’ll let her tell the rest of it, according to her Instagram post:

A female wild boar with two babies came out of the forest in order to search for food.

In Berlin we are free people – we love to bathe in the sun and lake like we are born.

So, there were many people laying on their towels completely naked.

Many of us were scared but the wild boars seemed to be peaceful.

After they ate a pizza from a backpack of a man who was taking a swim in the lake they were looking for a dessert.

They found this yellow bag and decided to take it away.

But the man who owned it realized it was the bag with his laptop.

So, he was very focused and run behind the boars in order to get it back.

Everyone of us adored him how focused he stayed and when he came back with his yellow bag in the hand we all clapped and congratulated him for his success.

This happens when you’re focused on your goals.

Don’t worry; Landauer told The Guardian that the running naked German man gave her permission to post the photos of his butt, and that everyone had a good laugh when the crisis was over.

Still, I can’t help but wonder what the 30-50 feral hogs guy would think about this.

Paul “Double Rainbow” Vasquez dead at 57

Paul L. Vasquez, whose awestruck reaction at a rare double rainbow made him an internet sensation in 2010, died Saturday at 57.

In the 3-minute, 29-second video, Mr. Vasquez cries out things like, “It’s a double rainbow all the way across the sky!” And, “It’s so bright!” And, “What does it all mean?” There are lots of whoas, and whoos and oh-my-Gods. He laughs during it. He sobs.

The exposure catapulted the apparently laid-back, good-natured guy, called “Bear” by friends, to far more than 15 minutes of fame. For instance, he and a famous “Friend,” Jennifer Aniston, did a Smartwater commercial together. He also did ads for Microsoft and Delta Air Lines.

Bear that strolled through CA neighborhood is back in forest where he belongs

The large black bear in this video was observed ambling around a Monrovia, California neighborhood last Friday morning. The bear walked through residential lawns, driveways and rested in a nearby alley.

The Monrovia Police Department says officers observed the bear’s activities, after people phoned in, and called state Department of Fish and Wildlife workers to the neighborhood.

From the Associated Press:

The bear was eventually tranquilized and taken to the nearest suitable forest habitat, said Tim Daly, a Fish and Wildlife spokesman. “One of our guys out on the scene described the bear as huge — about 400 pounds (181 kilograms) — female and older,” Daly said. “In the bear world, she would be described as elderly.”

The bear was otherwise fine, he said.

“It’s a little alarming how close and comfortable people were getting up next to this bear, but there were no incidents, so we’re happy about that,” he added. It was believed to be the same bear seen a day earlier in Monrovia, where it’s not uncommon for animals to wander out of the sprawling Angeles National Forest above the city.

Monrovia sits at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, and when the weather warms up the big mammals tend to come down and look for food each year, according to the Monrovia city bear safety page.

Hello, passenger plane; hello, nuclear missile: SLBN Trident test filmed from aircraft cockpit in gorgeous VIDEO

The crew of a passenger plane traveling to Mexico got a rare opportunity to witness a test-launch of a Trident nuclear missile as it flew over the Pacific Ocean. Unaware of what it was, they filmed the dramatic sight.

A beautiful streak of light that exploded outward into a wide beam of white light turned out to be a Trident missile. In the footage, the crew can be heard saying ‘Wow,’ as they look out at the shooting star beside their Airbus liner.

The video published by The Drive was shot from a plane flying from Guadalajara to Tijuana sometime in early September. It clearly shows two-stage separations as the missile launched from the Ohio-class submarine USS ‘Nebraska’ skips through the sky westward.

Defense experts told The Drive that the trajectory of the Trident appeared unusually flat, possibly indicating a test of the missile’s ability to deliver the W76-2 warhead. A derivative of the standard W76-1, it has dramatically lower yield and consequently a smaller weight. A lighter payload allows the delivery vehicle to be fired at a depressed trajectory, which sacrifices range for the sake of faster travel time and better survivability against enemy anti-ballistic missile measures.

The filmed test was one of a series conducted between September 4 and September 6.
