YouTube TV Is Getting More Channels, More Markets, More Expensive | Droolin Dog dot Net

YouTube TV is Google’s attempt to bring live television into your home, through the YouTube brand you already know and trust for music videos and clips from late night talk shows. Starting next month, it’s getting a lot more content, but it’s also going up in price. YouTube has closed a deal that will bring content from CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, TBS, TNT, truTV, and Turner Classic Movies to its service, which is not a small addition by any means. People in more markets will be able to subscribe, in places like Dayton, Honolulu, and Charleston. Overall, YouTube TV will now be available in over 100 markets. However, starting March 13th, the monthly price for YouTube TV will go up from $35 to $40. Don’t worry, there’s a silver lining: If you subscribe before that cutoff date, you get to keep your $35 per month plan. Hopefully, Google will keep that price locked in for as long as its let Play Music early adopters keep their $7.99/month plan. Which is to say, indefinitely so far. Regardless, if you’ve been thinking about signing up for YouTube TV but you’re on the fence, there’s no better time to sign up than within the next month.
